MSCI AAA Rating

MSCI selects and weights the most financially significant issues among 35 overall issues by industry. MSCI assigns ratings of Leader (AAA, AA), Average (A, BBB, BB), and Laggard (B, CCC) to companies. MSCI's ESG rating data is widely used by investors in their investment decisions.

CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project)

2023 CDP Climate Rating

CDP is a global climate change project conducted in 91 countries worldwide. Over 7,000 companies disclose greenhouse gas emissions, climate change risks and opportunities, and carbon management strategies through CDP.

Cooperation in ESG Sector Initiatives

SK Gas continuously monitors changes in the management environment and plans to expand its cooperation in global initiatives. The results of participation in these initiatives are periodically evaluated and disclosed on the website and in sustainability reports.

• Hydrogen Fusion Alliance

  SK Gas has been a member of the Hydrogen Fusion Alliance since November 2022 to achieve an early low-carbon hydrogen economy. Additionally, SK Gas is promoting the development of Zero Carbon Solution business to expand hydrogen energy and foster related industries.

• BNBP (CBD)

  SK Gas is a member of BNBP (Biz N Biodiversity Platform), the Korean branch of the international CBD (Convention on Biological Diversity), recognizing the importance of biodiversity protection. SK Gas has been involved in publishing ecological books, creating SK Happy Forest Gardens, and conducting marine coastal pollution prevention activities to preserve the natural environment.

• Happiness Alliance

  The Happiness Alliance is a social safety network where companies, governments, and citizens work together to address child hunger issues in underprivileged communities. The 'Happy Two Meals' project provides meal boxes to children at risk of hunger through community collaboration.

• SASB

  The Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) defines sustainability issues closely related to financial performance by industry. SK Gas discloses data on key ESG areas that may affect financial performance according to these guidelines.

• Net-Zero Declaration

  In 2021, SK Gas joined the Net-Zero Declaration, setting goals to achieve Net Zero emissions for Scope 1 and 2 by 2030 and Scope 3 by 2050. SK Gas is executing greenhouse gas emission reduction plans according to a phased schedule.

• TCFD

  The TCFD is a global consortium established to disclose climate-related information. The recommendations published in 2017 require companies to disclose financial information related to climate change. Since 2020, SK Gas has been disclosing climate change-related governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets according to the TCFD recommendations.

• Clean Ammonia Alliance

  The Clean Ammonia Alliance is an initiative established to promote the use of ammonia-based carbon-free fuel through technology and information exchange and joint technology development. SK Gas has been participating as a vice-chairman since March 2022, supporting the commercialization of ammonia-based decarbonized fuel through industry and academia collaboration.
